Farewell Rosa, you sparked a revolution that captured the hearts and
minds of many Americans. You became a national hero in a time where
America had no heroes. The civil rights movement was a tough, but
necessary fight. Discrimination is unacceptable, and unfortunatley, its
a practice that still goes on today. There have been many steps forward
in the fight you started over the last 50 years, but lately it seems
like America has retrogressed. I was horrified over the response of the
federal government to the recent natural disasters. I, along with many
others feel as if race played a role in despicable response of FEMA.
There is still a long way to go. Everyone on Earth should be treated
with dignity and respect. We all pray for the day when there shall be
no exclusions or denial of rights because of who we are. Forever in our
hearts,
